Celsion Corp. is dedicated to apply its proprietary focused heat technology to the development and commercialization of treatments for cancer and other diseases . It has developed and is currently marketing the Prolieve TM Thermodilatation System, an innovative medical device to treat Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH), a prostate condition common in men over age 55. On February 19, 2004, FDA approved Celsion's ProlieveT Thermodilatation System for distribution in the United States.
Celsion is also actively developing medical devices to treat prostate, liver and breast cancer, and is working with Duke University and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Center on the development of new heat-activated drugs and gene therapies. Additionally, in conjunction with Duke University, Celsion is evaluating the feasibility of initial trials for the treatment of breast cancer with its new technology and drugs. |
